Unknown Malaysian Businessman Just Bought $4.8 Billion Golden Yacht

Wow... I can't bring myself to believe this story but it is in The Daily Mail so I am going with it anyway. According to reports today, an anonymous Malaysian businessman has just bought a luxury yacht for almost five billion U.S. dollars. He reportedly spent $4.8 billion on a megayacht made of platinum and gold, making it the most expensive yacht ever sold. It took three years to complete and is covered in 100,000 kilograms of precious metals, according to The Daily Mail.

The boat, named the "History Supreme", is the work of Stuart Hughes, a British purveyor of high-end luxury items and gadgets including diamond encrusted iPhones and the toy Bugatti Veyron Diamond Limited Edition, which itself is partially made from 24-carat gold, platinum and diamonds. Yup, a $3 million model car... The"History Supreme" project was commissioned for Stuart Hughes of the Liverpool by an anonymous leading Malaysian businessman. This Baia One Hundred (standing for 100") yacht is covered in platinum and gold, from the hull to the anchor, including the deck, rails, and dining area.

The master bedroom is particularly lavish; it's adorned in platinum and has wall art made of meteoric stone and genuine Dinosaur bone from a Tyrannosaurus Rex. And at a whooping £3 billion or $4.8 billion, the "History Supreme" has gone down in history as the most expensive vessel ever built for private use. We can also eliminate the fourth person seeing as this boat would tie up nearly all his worth. So the buyer must be Robert Kuok, Ananda Krishnan or Lee Kim Hua... Or a secret Malaysian billionaire that Forbes missed this year. But I am thinking Stuart Hughes must have overstated the sale price of this boat. Steve Jobs May Only Have Six Weeks To Live

The tech world runs on rumors. And it is rumored that Apple CEO Steve Jobs has "six weeks to live" and was allegedly photographed entering the Stanford Cancer Center in Palo Alto, Calif., according to the tabloid National Enquirer. The photos published by the tabloid showed a frail and thin man that closely resembles Jobs, although the person’s identity is not confirmed. Jobs who took medical leave in January, had said in an email to employees, "At my request, the board of directors has granted me a medical leave of absence so I can focus on my health." "I will continue as CEO and be involved in major strategic decisions for the company."

Jobs has had cancer in the past, and he is currently on medical leave from Apple, so it is possible that his cancer has come back. In 2004, the computer genius had surgery for pancreatic cancer while in 2009, he had a liver transplant. However, his current health condition cannot be confirmed. But the rumor is co-founder and CEO of Apple, Steve Jobs, reportedly might be dead by summer. Proving once again that pancreatic cancer just doesn't give a fuck who you are, how smart you maybe or how important everyone think you are to one of the world's largest corporation. National Enquirer reports:

Since the print edition of the new issue of The ENQUIRER containing this blockbuster story began hitting newsstands on Wednesday in New York, media outlets worldwide have reported our story - and some websites have even attempted to rip off our exclusive photos!

For nearly seven years, the Apple co-founder has battled a rare form of pancreatic cancer - called a neuroendocrine tumor. It is a slower moving cancer than the type that killed actor Patrick Swayze in 2009 and actor Michael Landon in 1991.

Only about 4 percent of patients with any form of pancreatic cancer can live longer than five years.

Jobs has taken three medical leaves of absence from Apple and had a 2009 liver transplant after the cancer spread.

But after studying the new photos of the world-renowned entrepreneur - taken on February 8th in California - medical experts consulted by The ENQUIRER say it appears he's losing his battle.

Jobs was photographed outside the Stanford Cancer Center - the same place where Swayze was treated during his final days.

The heartrending photos show the terrible damage cancer has done to Jobs' 6-foot-2 frame - dropping his weight from a precancer 175 pounds to about 130 now.

The Enquirer also quoted two doctors who claimed that the technology genius only has six weeks to live and that he is "losing his battle" against cancer. Physician Dr Samuel Jacobson told the Enquirer that judging from the photos, he is "close to terminal" and the other doctor gave him only a few weeks. But these doctors have never personally met with Jobs and are making predictions completely based on the unverified photos. And in March 2008, the Enquirer reported that Patrick Swayze had five weeks to live. He died on September 14, 2009. So based on that, on one hand this six weeks thing might not be such bad news for Steve Jobs. On the other hand, I would give him two more years max. Dude, Oprah Almost Killed Wolverine At The Sydney Opera

Hugh Jackman almost lost his life for Oprah today while filming a segment in Australia this morning. For whatever reason, Oprah held her show at the Sydney Opera House on Tuesday with guest Hugh Jackman. And for whatever reason, Hugh was zip-lining in from the top sail of the Opera House but has an accident when he hit the brakes too late. And injured his eye after running into the lighting rigs which broke and sent a small piece of glass into his eye.

Medics rushed in after the ill-fated stunt but the injury was minor so they gave everyone the go-ahead to laugh at him. Seriously look at Hugh Jackman's face, the dude almost lost an eye perhaps his life on live TV. Yes, I realize Hugh Jackman is Wolverine and has arms as big as my thighs, but he also dances with a cane and sings show tunes on Broadway. Though the "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" star had practiced the stunt, he said he was distracted by Oprah, her fans and his family as he was approaching the stage and forgot to pull his break on time. The LA Times reports:

Hugh Jackman was slightly injured Tuesday when he hit the brakes too late during a stunt on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" in Australia.

"That was so much fun, until the end," Jackman said of his trip to the outdoor stage on a zip line from the top of the Sydney Opera House.

"I came down waving to everyone, looking over Sydney Harbour, saw my dad, the kids and you, went to pull the brake and then, boing," the Wolverine actor told Winfrey. After banging into the rigging for the lights, he recovered sufficiently — a glass of red wine and a bandage under his eye seemed to do the trick — to sit down and teach the visiting talk show host how to eat Vegemite.

According to a news report, a calm Jackman "asked for a tissue" while he was dangling 20 feet in the air, waiting for help to come. Check out the refreshing Aussie coverage of the accident from "The 7 p.m. Project" in the video above.

"That's how much we love Oprah," reporter Dave Hughes said. "We'll take our most talented and handsome man and we'll chuck him off the Opera House, 'cause we love her that much."

Now who hasn't become lost in the crowd as they zip-lined down at 15 mph from the roof of the Sydney Opera House and forgotten to hit the brakes? LOL... Maybe Jackman had an accident because people are not supposed to be zip-lining onto stage. Anyway, Jackman made it clear that it was his fault and not the stunt team's as he became distracted by the crowd. Actress Elizabeth Hurley's marriage to businessman Arun Nayar is likely over. Everyone knew Elizabeth Hurley's three-year marriage to Indian billionaire Arun Nayar was on the rocks so this should come as no surprise. Over the weekend Elizabeth Hurley announced that she split up with her husband, textile heir Arun Nayar, via Twitter:

The "not a great day" reference is the fact that British tabloid News of the World exposed her affair to cricket legend Shane Warne in a story published on Sunday. The scandalous article was accompanied by CCTV images showing Hurley and Warne kissing in a doorway. So Elizabeth's announcement comes amid the well detailed report that she spent the night at a London hotel with the Australian cricket player.
